Just got back from 11 days in the CO wilderness chasing those alpine velvet covered mule deer. Ended up with this old massive buck with short tine length. he's 29.5" wide, 20" of mass per side, 4" eye-guards, and a nice little cheater on his left side. He'll gross in the 1 low 170's and net in the 160's.
My hunting partner's buck is a narrow (22") but long tine buck that will score in the 150's. The hunt was great......until we had to pack out all the meat, cape and antlers........92 pounds in my pack.......I need a horse! Hope you enjoy.
I set my trail cam up on july 4th. I have a pic over looking cherry creek that I would like to post. also a a pic of some of this springs turkey hatch.
i have a pic of some kind of dove that I have never seen before. Looks like a piegon/dove cross. It has a orange/yellow beak with a dark tip...
I can not post the pics. To big. someone pm me and I will send them to you to post for me.
Its kind of quiet here the past week and a half.
Here's the pics of James Thompsons buck (bowhuntaz1). The rut is definitely still on. James had gone out last Thursday and saw a nice buck but couldn't close the distance on him. I reccomended an area that I've seen a lot of Mule Deer in to James and he went there yesterday. He got out of his truck and walked a little ways and had his buck down by 7:15 AM. It's really incredible what he did. He shot the buck with his bow at 38 yards while the buck was watching other bucks fighting!!! What an experience!!! Congrats James!!!
